Just one goal today

This has become an almost daily goal of mine.  Some days are better than others.  It's actually TWO goals but I mix them into one sentence as I am desperate to simplify everything in my life.

Goal:  Do not bite or puke on anyone.

Both of these are difficult goals but I am quite proud that I have held together thus far.
Admittedly, the biting part of the goal is perhaps a bit odd, but nothing about being pregnant feels normal so I just chalk this up to part of the abnormality of the situation.  I have become a mean and nasty- mouthed Honey Badger and have lost any previous filter of what I should or shouldn't say.  I say "fuck" a lot.  My first inclination on the slightest of slights is to freak the fuck out.  And if that means biting someone, so be it.  However, the world is spared the wrath of the crazy old pregnant girl in that I am way too exhausted and unmotivated to act on this instinct.  WAY too exhausted.  So unless you make me mad and then hand me your arm to chew on, you are most likely safe.

On to the puking part.  Morning sickness is not just for mornings.  Did you know that?  Yup- true that.  I am blessed with mine 24/7.  This may add to my crankiness just a bit.  The feeling of wanting to punk all the time, even while sleeping.......well, that wears on a person mentally and physically....and I do not wish it on anyone.  This morning during my Cardio Bag class I was constantly guessing if I was going to only burp (YES, lots) or puke (thankfully, no), but doing the sprawls, sit-ups and punching/ kicking combinations  were a bit dicey....I really thought I would puke on Brayson's mat and be asked to never return.  My plan for puking during Krav Maga or Cardio Bag is to hold it my mouth and run to the bathroom.  It's good to be prepared for anything.  And nothing is normal anymore.

My poor husband.

Where do babies come from?

There is something magical about food; especially when pregnant.  The taste is richer and more satisfying... the world feels divine while consuming food.  And I love everyone in it.  This time around however, I am going to attempt not to gain 50 plus pounds while pregnant.  THIS time around I have a good workout routine; Cardio Boxing and Krav Maga.  My expectation is that I will have mental and physical stimulation, learn self defense, and maintain a healthy weight and attitude.  Not sure if age brings wisdom or if it is experience (both together, Im sure!), but after baby #1 a lot has been learned.  Except, obviously, where babies come from.

Intro

The medical establishment considers pregnant women in their mid to late 30's as "senior".  I fear what they think of a woman in her 40's.  This is how the blog name was chosen.  I'm an old girl.  Pregnant.  Unexpectedly.  With child number two.  I'm also a professional who works both in home and offsite as a small business owner.  This blog is a collection of weekly tangents on being pregnant, running a business, living with a 4 year old and husband of 13 years, and in a society where some will think I am the grandmother and not the mommy.

I just began participating in a fight club...and then I found I was pregnant.  So, just to let you in on something..I kick ass too.
